Get ready for some life-changing baked goods.

The first time I tasted a baked creation from Bread Art occurred when a friend kindly dropped off a cake for me. When I inquired about the type of cake I was receiving, my friend responded, “does it matter? It’s cake.” Wow, I thought. There is a lot of truth in that.
With my new mantra dancing in my head of cake and life and gestures and what really matters, I took my first bite. I stopped just short of bursting into tears.
My friend failed to tell me that it would become one of the best-tasting things I have ever put in my mouth. My new mantra: it damn well matters what kind of cake it is.
The life-altering dessert was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting layered with chocolate ganache. The ganache was rich but not overpowering. The cake was dense and soft, with a slight crumble. And I still have fantasies about that frosting – it consists of me eating the cream cheese frosting out of a never-ending jar.
I could dedicate a sonnet to that cake.

Eating Minnesota at Bread Art: Almond Croissant and Strawberry & Cream Kolach
I just moved to Stillwater and have not been able to find a good sesame hard roll. Looking for a hard roll, not a soft roll. Crunchy on top and soft inside.
