Oh, Thanksgiving. The day we get up at 4 am to prepare a 20-pound bird, pretend that we cook ALL the time and can easily prepare 15 different sides that suit everyone’s needs, and greet our guests with a plastered smile that underneath actually says, please kill me now. By the time Thanksgiving Dinner is ready, we are too exhausted or have had too much Chef juice to enjoy it.
Sometimes it’s better to let the pros handle Thanksgiving Dinner. If you still want to wow your guests, keep your sanity, and not be reduced to tears in your pantry, then check out these 11 Twin City restaurants that will do all the work for you!
Located in White Bear Lake, reading Acqua’s Thanksgiving menu already has us picking out a bottle of a beautiful Pinot Noir. There is never a wrong time for brunch, even on Thanksgiving. Lake Elmo Inn has a Thanksgiving Brunch in a Box that serves two people this year. Watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade while sipping on Champagne and eating shrimp cocktail, sweet potato mashed with maple and pecans, turkey with gravy, and pumpkin pie. It’s the only way to survive 3 hours of Broadway musicals.

Let’s be honest. Spoon and Stable could be selling lunch slices of Jennie-O turkey for dinner, and somehow it would still be out of this world fantastic. Lucky for us, their At Home Thanksgiving Dinner is much more sophisticated than that. Enjoy Brioche Stuffing, Roasted Delicata Squash with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Roasted and Confit Turkey, and more. Dinners serve either 6-8 or 10-12 guests. Pickup is on November 23rd from 11-2 pm.

Are you a turkey whisperer? One of those who love to get up at 5 am to start cooking a massive bird–preparing the ideal brine, basting it multiple times, and coming up with the perfect gravy to accompany the white and dark meats. But when you sit down to eat, you realize you forgot to cook the corn, the rolls are still frozen, and the cranberries you were going to use for your homemade sauce are still in the bag…judging you. If this sounds familiar, you will love Alma’s “Everything But the Turkey” Package. The Fresh Ricotta with fresh herbs and local honey, Caramelized Brussel Sprouts with Apple, Thyme, and Shallots, Mashed Potatoes with Poultry Gravy, and the Cranberry-Ginger Mostarda will make your bird proud. Packages are for two or four people, and pickup is available on the 23rd.
